THE ARTWORK NOTEBOOK

Six sweet scenes.
Six ways to look.

Explore the folds, colours and changes of scale behind the workshop. The worlds are digitally created; the craft language is deliberately tactile.

SCENE / 01

The world between the pages

A book becomes a place. The near edge stays recognisably paper while folds, platforms and oversized sweets build a much deeper world.

The largest lollies stay close to the viewer. Small workshops, wafer surfaces and a receding ribbon create several distances without losing the candy subject.

SCENE / 02

The citrus carousel

Look up into the canopy. Repeated citrus wedges establish a rhythm; the dangling berry seats interrupt it with rounder, softer shapes.

The view is deliberately low and diagonal. Hanging paper stars and crimped sweet cases turn a repeating structure into a scene with movement.

SCENE / 03

A very tall little treat

A familiar sundae becomes an impossible sculpture. Thin folds, rolled berries and broad cream curls each catch the light differently.

Count the different edges: torn tissue, scored wafer, scalloped cream and tightly rolled berry. Each uses a different rhythm while belonging to one imaginary dessert.

SCENE / 04

Along the ribbon river

The view changes to straight down. Curved ribbons carry the eye through a crowded scene, while the three boats give the journey small pauses.

The candy boats are made from striped wrappers. Their simple silhouettes remain easy to find among the detailed fruit and gumdrop borders.

SCENE / 05

The midnight parcel

The same paper language feels different after dark. Warm light finds the torn edges and leaves the deep plum background quiet.

A single warm light makes rough tissue and gold-coloured ribbon stand out. The parcel is an imagined sweet arrangement, not a prize or a product for sale.

SCENE / 06

The bonbon worktable

The earlier workshop scene stays in the collection. Its softer peach and sage colours offer a close, calm look at folds and crimped edges.

This earlier artwork is preserved for its careful paper construction. It offers a softer palette and a practical-looking setting beside the newer fantasy scenes.
